InMobi Announces New Monetization Solution for Mobile Games

Mobile advertising network InMobi has announced its new Monetization Solution for Games, alongside a $25 million fund for independent game developers. The new Monetization Solution for Games allows developers to optimize their monetization strategies in response to players’ emotional states. It includes support for multiple ad types, including a playable ads format for trying games as demo ads before they’re downloaded.

Travian Games Releases Meerkatz Challenge on iOS

Earlier this year, Travian Games announced the development of Meerkatz Challenge, its side-scrolling puzzle platforming title that sees users guiding meerkats around obstacles to lead them to safety. Storm8′s Fantasy Forest Story Launches on iOS

Mobile social gaming company Storm8 has today announced the launch of Fantasy Forest Story on iOS devices. Developed by TeamLava, the animal collection and breeding game is described as a mix of zoology and mythology, as users collect real animals, but with a twist.

A Pyro Pony, for instance, is a fire-type pony, while a Pandaffodil mixes nature with a panda bear. Each animal has a different elemental affiliation, and players are challenged with collecting them all through breeding or purchasing them from the store.

Fiksu: App Marketing Costs Hit All-Time High in June

App marketing costs have reached an all-time high, according to user acquisition and marketing company Fiksu. Results from its newest indexes show the cost per loyal user hitting more than $2 in June 2014, at $2.23. That’s an increase of 25 percent since May, and a 49 percent increase year-over-year. Fiksu defines a loyal user as one who opens an app at least three times.

Web-clipping app Sight has launched for readers on iOS, allowing users to snap screenshots of articles they’d like to read, but just don’t have time to at the moment. Instead of bookmarking articles, or copying and pasting URLs, the app analyzes screenshots to pull in the original articles, in their entirety, from the original web sources.
