My.com’s myMail email client finds fast success on iOS
My.com’s email app myMail is experiencing great success on iOS, according to new data provided by app analytics company Distimo. The email client was released in November 2013, and allows users to access and manage multiple email accounts in a single app. Since launch, myMail has become the most downloaded third-party email client on iOS worldwide. As of March 2014, the app is No. 3 among all iOS email apps, behind Gmail and Yahoo.
myMail allows users to manage multiple accounts across Gmail, Hotmail, Live, Outlook, MSN, iCloud, AOL and Yahoo mail services, and supports all IMAP and POP3-enabled mailboxes. The app allows users to customize their push notifications for each individual account, or filter notifications based on assigned folders, social networks or email addresses.
Elsewhere, myMail supports “quiet time” filters for less distractions and disruptions, offers contact suggestions from the device’s address book, and provides a list of the most-frequently-used-contacts for creating emails faster.
“In building myMail, we had the advantage of knowing from the beginning that we were building an app focused on the mobile user,” said Dmitry Grishin, CEO and co-founder of Mail.Ru Group, of which My.com is a subsidiary.
