WildTangent Studios launches Polar Bowler on iOS, Android
In celebration of National PB & J Day, WildTangent Studios has announced the launch of Polar Bowler on iOS and Android devices. Starring PB the polar bear and his penguin sidekick J, Polar Bowler offers 70 levels of bowling puzzles, as players are challenged with sending PB across large arctic courses to hit pins along the way.
Each level in Polar Bowler contains more than just a straight lane and pins, as PB will glide through loops, slide around tight turns, fly off of ramps and more. Players need to knock down enough pins to advance to the next level, and they can pick up Mystery Crates along the way. These crates can contain coins or one of 10 “specialty tubes,” which each have their own ability to knock down pins.
For instance, a Tesla Tube zaps pins, while a Cowboy Tube tosses horseshoes at pins. As players make progress through levels, they’ll increase their overall Polar Score and will unlock additional maps and challenges. Players can purchase crates in the in-game store, and will also receive a free crate each day for their in-app loyalty.
“We can’t wait for fans of PB and J to get a taste of their latest mobile adventure,” said Matt Shea, head of WildTangent Studios. “PB’s ‘hang loose’ attitude and zest for fun hasn’t changed, but Polar Bowler brings a whole new strategic style of play. What better way to celebrate National PB & J Day than taking this aptly named duo for spin?”
Polar Bowler is the second mobile game in the PB franchise, following 2013’s Polar Bowler: 1st Frame. Polar Bowler is now available to download for $0.99 on iOS, and for free on Google Play and the Amazon App Store. Check back soon to follow the game on AppData, our tracking platform for mobile and social apps and developers.
