BrightNest’s home organization app updated with home quizzes, custom tasks
BrightNest’s home organization app on iOS has undergone a major transformation, offering home owners thousands of tips and tricks for organizing, cleaning and generally improving their homes. The app offers home surveys for creating personalized content, a task system with reminders and more, and has been redesigned with a new look and feel for iOS 7.
BrightNest is for home owners and renters alike, as it offers lists of tips, with a major focus on spring cleaning tips in the app’s latest content update. One list, for instance, may offer stain removal tips, while another offers “15… uses for a Magic Eraser.”
The app customizes content based on a user’s home life, so non-pet owners won’t be flooded with pet-related content, for example. Each time users answer a question, the app becomes smarter, and will also offer content related to a user’s location.
When users find a craft or project they’d like to tackle, they can add it to their in-app schedule, choosing either a specific date, or vague terms like “next week” or “next month.” Each task is assigned the average completion time, so users know how much time they’ll need to set aside once they’re ready to complete the task.
In the first weekend after its latest update, BrightNest climbed to the top of the App Store’s Lifestyle category, with top three spots in the Home Maintenance, Home Cleaning and Home Organization sub-genres. The app is available to download for free on iOS, and offers Facebook Connect for easier signup.
