Lego Legends of Chima Online comes to iOS with cross-platform play
After releasing the game on browsers in August 2013, WB Games Montreal and TT Games have launched Lego Legends of Chima Online on iOS. The game takes players to the land of Chima, where they’ll build an outpost and explore locations from the popular cartoon series. Players can join the Lion, Eagle, Gorilla or Bear tribes, and will complete quests by defeating enemies, uncovering lost treasures and more in 3D environments.
Lego Legends of Chima Online features cross-platform play with a user’s Lego ID, allowing gamers to pick up where they left off in the browser version of the game. Players tap and hold on the screen to move their character around the world, and can tap on enemies to activate attacks.
Players can encounter other players in real-time, teaming up with them to defeat enemies, including light boss characters, and complete quests. Players collect studs, the game’s free currency, by destroying debris in their environments, and will receive Gold Bricks (the game’s premium currency) as they level up.
Back at their home base, players can use their collected resources to construct buildings like a blacksmith’s tent, while also researching and building new weapons. These buildings also produce studs over time, which can be collected every few minutes or hours.
Lego Legends of Chima Online offers in-game chat, but contains active chat filters and moderation to prevent children from giving out their personal information.
