Crooz launches racing game ACR Drift on iOS
Crooz has announced the release of its latest game on iOS, and its first release in North America, ACR Drift. The game takes players to real-life cities, including Moscow, LA, Hong Kong and Las Vegas, and allows them to race and drift through more than 25 courses.
During each race, cars accelerate automatically, allowing players to focus on lane changes, drifting and using nitrous boosts. Players swipe left or right to change lanes and avoid oncoming vehicles, and swipe left or right to cause their car to automatically drift around tight corners. Finally, an upwards swipe activates nitrous.
The game’s single-player storyline is level based, offering virtual currency and stars on each stage, depending on a player’s performance. Each drift is rated based on the timing of the swipe, so users are encouraged to replay stages to perfect their timing, increase their high scores and earn more stars.
ACR Drift features more than 50 vehicles, including the Bugatti Veyron, Pagani Zonda Cinque, Koenigsegg CCX, Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren and the Bentley Continental GT Speed. These cars can be updated with a variety of parts to make them more aerodynamic, as well as with visual upgrades like neon, wheels and decals.
While only available in single player mode for now, the game’s upcoming multiplayer mode will allow users to complete with others around the world.
ACR Drift is available to download for free on iOS, and is supported via microtransactions and premium currency. Check back soon to follow the game on AppData, our tracking service for mobile and social apps and developers.
