Eat24 partnership adds food delivery services to Urbanspoon on mobile
Food delivery platform Eat24 has announced a partnership with restaurant information company Urbanspoon, which will see Eat24’s food delivery services added to the Urbanspoon website and mobile app. The Eat24 integration is now live in New York, Los Angeles and Seattle, with plans to bring the technology to the rest of the country in the coming weeks.
Via this partnership, Urbanspoon’s mobile users will be able to order menu items, track their personal order histories at restaurants and make one-tap re-orders in the future. This is in addition to Urbanspoon’s restaurant reviews system, and the OpenTable reservations system.
Eat24 has found success with one-click re-ordering on its own website and app, and is particularly excited about bringing that feature to Urbanspoon.
“We love Urbanspoon because we’re both in the business of getting people fed,” said Nadav Sharon, co-founder of Eat24. “We all have days we just want to stay in, get a little cozy and work on perfecting that sofa butt groove. This is our way of making delivery an easier option for Urbanspoon users.”
Eat24 previously partnered with business review platform Yelp, to offer food delivery services to Yelp’s users. As a result, restaurant registration with Eat24 skyrocketed, seeing over 1,000 new restaurants sign up with Eat24 in a week.
“It’s all about connecting hungry mouths to restaurants,” Sharon added. “At the end of the day, we’re here to help save people time so they can do more important things like watch Netflix in bunny slippers.”
