Glu Mobile partners with Kim Kardashian for celebrity lifestyle game
In a unique partnership, Glu Mobile has announced it has partnered with TV personality Kim Kardashian on the development of a new game using Kardashian’s voice and likeness. The game will introduce players to the world of Hollywood, with Kardashian serving as the player’s mentor.
Glu Toronto is behind the game’s development, with the final product promising fashion tips and career advice for earning virtual in-game fame.
The same team is responsible for Stardom: The A-List, Stardom: Hollywood [pictured] and Zombies Ate My Friends. The Stardom games offer similar goals to this newly announced game, as players work their way up the social ranks, purchasing clothing, starring in films and so on.
“We look forward to leveraging Kim Kardashian’s brand and fan base of 18 million Twitter followers, 15 million Facebook fans, and 11 million Instagram followers,” said Glu CEO Niccolo de Masi, in a company release. “We anticipate that the combination of Kim’s creative input with Glu’s leading development and publishing platform will create a uniquely compelling celebrity game experience.”
This new mobile title will be released on iOS and Android worldwide in late Spring 2014. More details surrounding Kardashian’s personal involvement with the game’s development will come at a later date.
