Reliance Games brings Real Steel: World Robot Boxing to iOS, Android
Reliance Games has today announced the launch of Real Steel: World Robot Boxing on iOS and Android. The sequel to 2011’s original Real Steel takes the series in a free-to-play direction, as players can take to battle with twenty massive robot warriors. Both games are inspired by the 2011 DreamWorks film Real Steel.
Real Steel: World Robot Boxing features improved graphics and more modes, when compared to its predecessor. Players can interact with the robots from the first game, including Zeus, Atom, and Twin Cities, but are also introduced to new characters including Touchdown, HollowJack, Blockbuster, Biowar and others.
These robots can take to battle in 10 different arenas, across four different modes. There’s the expected Championship mode, as well as Time Attack, Daily Exhibition and Free Sparring. Time Attack offers a series of fights against the clock, while Free Sparring matches are a nice way to earn coins for purchasing upgrades for each robot.
The game also offers real-time multiplayer for both friends and strangers. Players will be able to compare their progress against others on the worldwide in-game leaderboards.
“[World Robot Boxing] is going to set a milestone in the robot boxing brawler genre and I am very confident that gamers will feel the adrenaline rush in every moment of their gameplay experience,” stated Manish Agarwal, CEO of Reliance Entertainment Digital. “We at Reliance Games are thankful to the millions of fans who have played Real Steel and helped us improve the robot boxing genre over time. We hope WRB will be a fitting tribute to their love for Real Steel.”
