Pearl’s Peril: Wooga brings Facebook hidden object game to iPad
After a successful launch on Facebook earlier this year, social and casual game developer Wooga has announced the release of Pearl’s Peril on iPad. Over 15 million people on Facebook have played the hidden object game, with the iPad version supporting those players with syncing of progress from one platform to another.
Wooga has redesigned the game’s user interface for the mobile platform and touch controls, and has announced continued support for the game via weekly content additions and updates. The game follows title character Pearl on a journey around the world, in search for information surrounding her father’s mysterious death.
Pearl’s Peril (our review) was Wooga’s fastest growing game to date, when it launched on Facebook last Spring. It crossed one million daily active users in just three weeks on the service, with the game’s users playing on average 30 minutes each day.
Wooga has released an infographic [pictured below] with other interesting stats, like the fact that 79 percent of the game’s players are female, and that the most players come from Brazil, with 10 percent of the total user base. USA comes in third at 8 percent, behind France at 9 percent.
Pearl’s Peril currently contains over 224 environments, including 160 hidden object scenes and 64 puzzle and adventure scenes. It’s now available to download for free on iPad, and is monetized via the purchase of in-game currency and energy.
