Front Flip offers a universal loyalty platform for shoppers on iOS
As shoppers continue to turn to their smartphones for shopping information and rewards programs, loyalty application Front Flip has announced an update to its existing iOS app of the same name. The application looks to offer a one-stop-shop for consumer loyalty programs, encouraging users to join new programs and receive offers from directly within the application.
The update brings the program to Version 5.0, and includes a new join feature, which lists participating restaurants, shops and other businesses every time the app is opened. Users simply tap on a “join” button to join that business’ loyalty program, and they’ll receive an automated message including a welcome gift from applicable businesses.
Retailers are encouraged to offer welcome gifts and prizes to help boost customer acquisition, as discounts and offers would incentivize an in-store visit. Front Flip has further expanded this rewards feature, now allowing users to save prizes (like coupons) for later use if they don’t wish to redeem them immediately.
In addition, Front Flip Version 5.0 offers a redesigned layout and custom profile pages for businesses, encouraging them to claim their own personal space within the application.
Front Flip’s update comes at a time of increasing growth in the world of mobile shopping. A recent study from Parago found that 58 percent of adult smartphone users now regularly use their smartphones to “showroom,” or shop for items in-stores that they can later purchase online at a discount. By offering discounts within the application that can be redeemed in the store, Front Flip pushes consumers away from those online retailers and back into brick-and-mortar locations.
