Doodle Devil 2.0 update offers new language support, slot machine and demon modes
After passing over 100 million downloads earlier this summer, mobile developer JoyBits has expanded its ‘Doodle’ franchise once again with the release of Doodle Devil 2.0, the game’s first update in 18 months. According to JoyBits, the update contains enough content to create a full sequel, but it will all be available for players of the original game.
First released in 2011, Doodle Devil asks players to combine elements to discover the seven deadly sins. As elements are combined, they create new items, including beasts, zombies, demons and more.
The game’s newest features include support for 13 additional languages, a new user interface, puzzles and more. A new Demon mode allows players to create and unlock new kinds of demons to earn in-game currency and hints, with nine demons being available as of this writing.
Another new feature, Devil Slots, allows players to take a spin on a traditional slot machine, earning hundreds or thousands of coins in the process.
“The Doodle series has a cult like following worldwide and with Doodle Devil version 2.0, the team has worked incredibly hard to deliver a truly global experience adding top quality 13 language support,” said Paul Baldwin, JoyBits CEO, in a company statement. “This is just the beginning for the Doodle series as the team is nearing completion on the all new Doodle Kingdom in the coming months!”
Doodle Kingdom is the company’s upcoming game, containing elements like knights, warlocks and dragons, along with character classes and quests, bringing more “firsts” to the ‘Doodle’ franchise.
The update is now available in Doodle Devil on iPhone, iPad and Mac. The full app costs $1.99. You can track the app’s growth on AppData, our tracking service for mobile and social apps and developers.
