Yelp adds mobile reviews to growing list of services
Yelp has announced an expansion of its services on iOS, giving users a chance to post reviews directly from the mobile application, rather than waiting to post them on a desktop. While users were previously able to draft thoughts about businesses on their phones, and even write short tips, they had to finish and post reviews on the traditional desktop experience.

The review update is coming soon to Android, and also allows any images that a user has taken to appear in-line with their posted reviews.
This update may also change the way shorter reviews are handled by the system. Depending on length, Yelp may change the review into a tip, and then give the user a chance to add more content to turn it back into a review at a later date.
With this update, reviewers can post their thoughts immediately after leaving an establishment, or even while they’re still there. For both positive and negative reviews, this should allow users to post their thoughts more easily, without forgetting them after they leave.
Many recent Yelp updates have been focused on restaurant ordering and reservation systems. The company recently purchased San Francisco-based SeatMe, an online restaurant reservations service, and previously launched in-app food delivery services via partnerships with Eat24 and Delivery.com.
