Ruzzle, Amazing Ants, eBay and more on this week’s top free mobile apps charts

Word game Ruzzle is showing no signs of slowing down from its recent explosion up the top free iPhone and Android apps charts, landing at the No. 1 spot on iPhone and No. 3 spot on Android this week. The official Twitter account for Ruzzle tweeted that the game, which released back in March 2012, now has racked up more than 15 million users.
Physics platformer Amazing Ants immediately shot up the charts since its release last week, landing at the No. 2 spot on this week’s top free iPad apps chart. Pocket Gems announced back in December 2012 that it was getting into game publishing, a new venture for the company, with Twyngo-developed Amazing Ants as one of their first third-party titles it would release.
Aside from Ruzzle, eBay was the other notable app on the top free Android apps chart as the rest of the chart remained similar to last week’s chart. Despite the app not being updated since November 2012, while it’s iOS counterpart was updated recently, eBay came it at the No. 25 spot.
