Smash Cops Heat, Fun Run, YouTube and more on this week’s top free mobile apps charts

Driving action game Smash Cops Heat by Hutch Games released last week on the Apple App Store and the title is already seeing success in the charts, ranking No. 2 on both the top free iPhone and iPad apps charts. Multiplayer running game Fun Run, developed by dirtyBit, started running up the charts on Nov. 28, landing the title at the No. 4 spot on iPhone this week. After weeks with no iPad version of the official YouTube app, the video streaming app finally released on iPad last week, which has already supplanted itself as the No. 1 app on the top free iPad apps chart. Voice repeating app Talking Santa for iPad HD shot up the charts to the No. 3 spot on iPad thanks to the app going from $2.99 to free.
Not much changed in the top free Android apps chart, with only The Weather Channel and Go SMS Pro just making it into the top 25 at the No. 22 and No. 23 spots, respectively.
