Dental Surgery, Asphalt 7, Fruit Ninja and more on this week’s top free mobile apps charts

Dental simulator Dental Surgery by Maura Thompson debuted last Tuesday and blasted up the top free iPhone and iPad apps charts to the No. 3 spot iPhone and No. 1 spot on iPad. The official app for Macy’s 86th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2012, leaped into the top 25 today at the No. 12 hole on iPhone. Gameloft’s Asphalt 7: Heat was free last week (regularly $0.99), which propelled the driving title to the No. 11 position on iPhone and No. 3 position on iPad.

After hovering just below the top 25 of the top free apps category on Android, Halfbrick Studios’ Fruit Ninja Free broke into the top 25 at the No. 18 spot on the top Android apps chart.
