A slew of new apps made the top 10 in this week’s top paid iPhone apps chart. Photo cloning app Facebomb shot up the chart to the No. 4 spot thanks to a launch special dropping the price of the app by $1 to $0.99. Other notable apps that are new in the top 10 include world creation simulator Topia World Builder, which released Oct. 11, at the No. 5 position, strategy title Plague Inc. at the No. 6 position and parkour game Pocket Climber at the No. 7 position. Developer Chillingo’s new puzzler Snail Bob landed in the No. 6 hole on the top paid iPad apps chart. Sega’s Crazy Taxi port released last week on iPhone and iPad, which slotted the game at the No. 7 spot on iPad.
The usual apps in the top 25 for Android are present, but a few apps made some significant jumps in the past week. TuneIn Radio Pro moved from No. 20 last week to the No. 8 spot on the top paid Android apps chart. Rovio’s Angry Birds Space Premium jumped from the final spot in our top 25 to steadily holding the No. 12 rank.
