Rage of Bahamut, CSR Racing, The Dark Knight Rises and more on this week’s top grossing iOS apps

DeNA will be happy this week as Rage of Bahamut climbs back into the top grossing spot on the iPhone app charts, finally dethroning NaturalMotion’s CSR Racing. Although CSR Racing drops to No. 2 this week, it has held the No. 1 spot on the top grossing iPhone app chart since July 2. Both games are free to play, but while CSR Racing is a more casual title with console quality graphics, Rage of Bahamut is a more simply presented card-battle game.

The iPad charts also saw change at the top this week, as Backflip studio’s DragonVale once again returned to the top grossing spot, pushing CSR Racing to No. 2 on that chart as well.
Gameloft’s officially licensed Batman app The Dark Knight Rises also performed very strongly, finishing in the No. 10 spot on the iPhone charts and the No. 3 spot on the iPad charts. Unlike most of the other apps on the top grossing charts, The Dark Knight Rises is a $6.99 paid app.
