Emerging top grossing iOS apps: Pocket Planes, Bento 4 for iPad and Magic 2013

This week’s top grossing charts are lead once again by Kabam’s Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North, which takes the No. 1 spot on both the iPhone and the iPad app charts. Last week’s leader, DeNA’s card-battle game, Rage of Bahamut, slips down the top grossing charts but doesn’t leave the top ten, settling in at the No. 6 position this week.
Newly released apps performed strongly this week: NimbleBit’s Pocket Planes puts in solid work to land in the No. 11 spot on the top grossing iPhone app chart and FileMaker’s paid productivity app Bento 4 for iPad took the No. 8 spot on the top grossing iPad app chart.
Finally, fans of card games are bound to be happy, as Wizards of the Coast brings the world’s most popular collectible card game — Magic: The Gathering — to iOS in the form of its new iPad-only app, Magic 2013. A mobile version of its popular downloadable console title, Duels of the Planeswalkers, Magic 2013 is designed to appeal to both new players and seasoned veterans of the game. The game is free-to-play, but players can unlock additional content in the app for $9.99. The app is currently the No. 15 top grossing iPad app.
