Emerging top grossing iOS apps: DragonVale, Minecraft and Bingo Bash

Colorado-based Backflip studios notches up yet another No. 1 this week as its perennially popular animal-care game DragonVale climbs to the top of the top grossing iPhone and iPad charts. The game was last updated on May 17 with a new area called Gemstone Island, new dragons to collect and breeding habitat upgrades that reduce the time needed to breed new dragons.
Last week’s leader, Kabam’s Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North drops to the No. 2 spot on the top grossing iPhone chart and No. 6 on the iPad chart. Mojang’s Minecraft – Pocket Edition also makes gains this week, inching its way back into the top 10 of the top grossing iPhone app chart after spending most of the month in the lower 20s. the game was last updated on April 23.
Although few new faces made the top grossing app charts this week, the iOS version of BitRhymes’ Facebook game Bingo Bash has finally managed to crack into the top grossing iPad app charts. The app has been slowly gaining steam on mobile, rising from No. 72 on the top grossing app chart a month ago to No. 25 this week.
