Emerging paid iOS apps: Ski Safari, Pandemic 2.5 and Robbery Bob
Rovio’s mega-hit Angry Birds Space once again topped the iPhone and iPad charts in a week that showed little movement amongst the top paid apps. Although the iPhone charts were mostly dominated by established hits like Angry Birds Space, Camera+ and Draw Something, a few new and newer apps were able to crack into the top 25 this week.
Dark Realm Studios posted strong a performance, seeing its game Pandemic 2.5 reach No. 2 on the iPhone app charts. Australian company Defiant Development also had a solid week. Its game Ski Safari hit No. 6 on the iPhone charts and No. 5 on the iPad charts. Released on April 26, the $0.99 game provides a new twist on the gameplay style pioneered by Tiny Wings.
On the iPad charts Level 8′s Chillingo published game Robbery Bob made its debut in the No. 6 position. The 2D, top-down stealth game is currently being featured in the App Store as a New and Noteworthy title.
