Emerging top grossing iOS apps: Zynga Poker, TurboTax and Tap Paradise Cove

This week’s top grossing iOS app is Zynga Poker. Despite being a solid performer, the app hasn’t been at the top of the iOS charts for over a month as it fell behind the heavily buzzed Draw Something and Angry Birds Space.

Speaking of Angry Birds Space, the game drops from No. 3 to No. 8 this week, as sales of the chart-topper gradually begin to taper off. Lower down the charts, Pocket Gems’ Tap Paradise Cove appears to be maintaining its momentum, taking the No. 23 spot this week. Although it got off to a slow start, the exploration-themed game seems to be finding an audience and has had little trouble maintaining a position in the lower reaches of the top grossing iPhone apps chart this month.

On the iPad Intuit’s TurboTax once again hits No. 1, a position the utility has held off-and-on since the beginning of tax season.
