Emerging paid iOS apps: Skylanders Cloud Patrol, Voice Assistant and Civilization Revolution
Much like last week’s top paid charts, Rovio and Zynga continue to hold the No. 1 and No. 2 spots on iOS. Despite the strength of Angry Birds Space and Draw Something, however, some new apps were able to crack the top 10.
Activision’s Skylanders Cloud Patrol makes its chart debut at No. 4 on the iPhone charts and No. 3 on the iPad charts. Slightly lower down the charts, QuanticApps’ Voice Assistant gains some significant traction on its second week of release, hitting No. 6 on the iPhone and No. 9 on the iPad charts. The app is currently on sale for $0.99.
Lower down on the iPhone charts, Hunger Games Survival hits No. 12, but users should beware — the $0.99 app is not affiliated with Lionsgate Films (the publisher of the official movie app, Hunger Games: Girl on Fire) Suzanne Collins or the Scholastic Group.
On the iPad 2K Games’ Civilization Revolution continues to climb in popularity, hitting the No. 12 spot, and Apple’s Keynote registers the biggest gain, climbing 11 spaces to the No. 24 spot.
