Games Make up More Than One-Quarter of All Downloads in Android Market
Google just released this graphic on Android’s Google+ profile illustrating some key statistics about Android Market just days after the store passed 10 billion installs. The most interesting points for our audience?
- Games make just over one-quarter of installs in the store. That implies that if Android Market is seeing about 1 billion overall downloads per month, games are seeing about 250 million installs every month at the moment.
- Sunday night is the most popular time for consumers to download apps, so plan your marketing campaigns accordingly. It drops off quickly though as very early Monday morning is the least active time for downloads.
- Asia, Scandinavia and the U.S. lead other countries in terms of downloads per capita.
